šŸ’” Cumulative vs Non-Cumulative?

Cumulative FD: Interest reinvest hota hai → compounding ka benefit milta hai → maturity pe zyada milta hai. Best for wealth building.

Non-Cumulative: Regular income milti hai — monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/yearly. But since interest nikalta rehta hai, compounding ka full benefit nahi milta. Total earnings kam hoti hain. Best for retirees needing regular income.

šŸ’” FD Taxation Rules (India)

TDS: Bank 10% TDS kaatta hai agar saal ka interest ₹40,000 se zyada ho (₹50,000 for Senior Citizens). Agar PAN nahi diya toh 20% TDS lagta hai.

Tax Slab: FD interest fully taxable hai as per your income tax slab — TDS sirf advance tax hai, final tax nahi.

Section 80TTB: Senior Citizens ko FD interest pe ₹50,000 tak deduction milta hai.

Tip: Inflation ke baad FD ka real return often negative hota hai — isliye FD ko emergency fund / short-term goal ke liye use karo, long-term wealth creation ke liye equity better hai.
